I'm not trying to be clever or funny or anything here, just direct and factual. But there's more to my personality than this. The photos are not good, and yes they're all jeans and t-shirts. But at least they're not "improved" by filters etc. They were taken: 2022/Turkey, 2022/Turkey, 2021/England, 2022/Turkey, 2017/Cambodia. I was born in England, normally live in Australia, but have intermittently lived and worked in E & SE Asia for a total of nearly 10 years. Ideally I'd like to return to Australia with Ms Right, but depending on circumstances that may not be possible, so I'm open-minded. I studied engineering, electronics and computing, have a Bachelors degree, but could have got higher qualifications if I'd wanted or needed to. Mostly in the past I worked as a consultant systems / software designer / developer, also a little as an English teacher. At my age and with the work I used to do, I should be retired and quite affluent. But many things went wrong in the past, various things, various times, so I still have to work. Currently I'm thinking about what to do next in my life. I'm very honest, loyal, kind, considerate, polite, friendly, caring, altruistic, deep thinking, borderline intellectual. I can listen as well as talk. If I'm wrong about something I'll change my mind, even if it's difficult (but will need a reason, otherwise my views are worthless). I try to see things as they really are, not as I want them to be, which sometimes to give me an unusual outlook on life. I believe nothing superstitious or spiritual or mystical, including religion, and I think belief in such things by anybody is harmful to us all and to the planet, so I have very little tolerance for them. In the past I've had many interests, but right now not so many. However I read a lot, like coffee, tea, (a little) bitter beer and red wine, usually exercise often to try to stay slim and fit, used to do many outdoor activities, much prefer nature and quiet to cities and noise. I drink little and usually only socially, really hate smoking, "recreational" drugs, and think gambling is stupid. I've never married and have no children. That was not the plan and I definitely should not be alone and still single at my age. But that's mostly not my fault, at least I don't think so. Hopefully it's not too late to meet the lady I always thought I could find quite easily... but somehow haven't. Right or wrong, I think the reasons for that are far more due of other people's failings than mine. And finally, I don't want to verify my identity here because to me it's very inappropriate to have to send my most personal ID documents to a dating site, and because it's not clear what happens to the information after verification. However if you talk to me I can prove I'm real and genuine.
